Wind-up Knight isn't a new game on the market. In fact, I've had it on my last three phones. The reason this review is up is because now there's a connection to Google Play Games, I am going back to complete all the missions (and also because I lost my Titanium backups).
Unlike most runner style games, Wind-up Knight, from Robot Invader, is a side-runner (is that the official term?). It isn't just as simple as "push the button to jump", but you have to attack enemies with your sword, block with your shield, and also time your rolls to duck under obstacles.
It is definitely worth noting that this FREE game does not have any ads, and you can easily unlock the future levels without having to pay for anything, as long as you complete all your missions at 100% (collecting all the coins and the playing card within each level). As you can see below, you can collect more "Notes" or in game currency to unlock different outfits and weapons, some of which give you special abilities.
This game has a wonderful soundtrack, and graphics that will blow away most free AND paid games, and overall is definitely deserving of my phone's hard drive space. Go get it now at the link below!
