Phillip Lim for Target: Men's high top sneakers

On September 15th, the Phillip Lim for Target launched and people all over lined up outside the retail chain, hoping to grab as many pieces from this collection as possible.  This line offered many women's and men's clothing and accessories, and one of the most sought after products was Phillip Lim designed purses at a fraction of their regular cost.  I was fortunate enough to snag a pair of hightop sneakers from the men's collection.

Now this pair ran for $45 (a steal) but looks absolutely stunning. Simple black hightops (manmade leather) set atop a gum sole. I really like that choice as opposed to a common white rubber sole.

 

There's a nice little signature on the inside of the shoe, and the laces actually have metal caps. It's nice to see these little details offered on an item like this, a high end name at a middle/low end retailer. Really shows the effort put in by the designer, and not just to push out something cheap and simple.

 

 

 

 

Overall, these quality on the top feels pretty solid, and are really comfortable to walk in. This piece definitely surpasses it's price point, but good luck getting a pair now at this price!
